Descripción y detalle de las actividades

We are seeking a Senior Quality Manager to lead and drive quality strategy across manufacturing operations in Tijuana. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and zero-defect performance.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quality systems, customer-facing quality leadership, and regulatory compliance, particularly within manufacturing (e.g., automotive, medical device, aerospace, or electronics) environments.

Experiencia y requisitos

Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute the quality strategy aligned with global and corporate objectives
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the quality team
  • Act as the primary quality representative for the Tijuana site with global stakeholders
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability

Quality Systems & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485 as applicable)
  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Lead internal and external audits (customer, regulatory, and certification bodies)
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and customer specifications

Customer Quality

  • Serve as primary point of contact for customers on quality issues
  • Lead 8D problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
  • Drive improvement in customer satisfaction, PPM performance, and complaint resolution

Operational Excellence

  • Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Track and improve key quality metrics (KPIs) including scrap, yield, defects, and cost of quality
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and supply chain to improve processes and product reliability

Supplier Quality

  • Oversee supplier quality performance and development
  • Lead supplier audits and qualification processes
  • Drive supplier corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred)

Experience

  • 8–12+ years of experience in quality management within manufacturing
  • Minimum of 3–5 years in a leadership role
  • Experience working in multinational environments preferred
  • Strong experience with customer-facing quality roles

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
  • Root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone)
  • Statistical methods and data analysis
  • ERP/MES systems experience
  • Advanced proficiency in English
