Descripción y detalle de las actividades

We are looking for a Production Manager to oversee and optimize daily manufacturing operations at its Tijuana facility. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, meeting delivery targets, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-volume manufacturing, team leadership, and Lean operations, with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.

Experiencia y requisitos

Production Management

  • Plan, organize, and oversee daily production operations to meet output, quality, and delivery goals
  • Ensure adherence to production schedules and customer commitments
  • Monitor and improve production efficiency, capacity utilization, and throughput
  • Manage production staffing, shift planning, and resource allocation

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, line leaders, and operators
  • Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork
  • Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives
  • Support training and development programs for production personnel

Operational Excellence

  • Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identify and eliminate waste to improve productivity and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve processes
  • Track and achieve KPIs such as OEE, scrap, downtime & labor efficiency

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Drive a zero-incident safety culture
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) and process transfers
  • Participate in capacity planning and continuous improvement projects

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field

Experience

  • 7–10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Experience in industries such as automotive, medical device, aerospace, or electronics preferred
  • Experience managing high-mix / high-volume environments is a plus

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping)
  • Production planning and scheduling
  • KPIs management (OEE, productivity, scrap, downtime)
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Advanced proficiency in English (required)
