Descripción y detalle de las actividades

Ana Global Mexico is seeking a Buyer to support procurement operations by sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely availability of goods to support production and customer requirements. This role is critical in maintaining cost efficiency, supplier performance, and uninterrupted supply flow in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in purchasing, supplier management, and cost control within manufacturing operations.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field

Experience

  • 3–6+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement
  • Experience in manufacturing environments (automotive, electronics, medical device, aerospace) preferred
  • Experience with supplier negotiation and performance management

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Procurement processes and supply chain fundamentals
  • ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Inventory control concepts
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (required in most multinational environments)

Experiencia y requisitos

Procurement & Sourcing

  • Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for direct and/or indirect materials
  • Issue purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery of materials
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop qualified suppliers
  • Support sourcing strategies to ensure cost competitiveness and supply continuity

Supplier Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers
  • Track supplier performance in delivery, quality, and cost
  • Lead supplier follow-ups to resolve delays, shortages, or quality issues
  • Support supplier negotiations, including pricing, lead times, and terms

Inventory & Planning Support

  • Coordinate with Planning and Production teams to ensure material availability
  • Monitor inventory levels and support optimal stock levels (avoid excess/shortage)
  • Analyze demand and adjust purchase plans accordingly

Cost Control & Analysis

  • Support cost reduction initiatives through negotiation and supplier optimization
  • Analyze market trends, pricing, and opportunities for savings
  • Track and report purchase price variance (PPV)

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate purchasing data in ERP systems
  • Support audits and documentation requirements

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Logistics, and Finance teams
  • Participate in new product introductions (NPI) and supplier selection

Support import/export processes and documentation (as needed)
